How to Measure

To measure your pet you want the amber collar to fit like a 

regular collar, loose enough to rotate, but NOT so loose it has slack. This 

can be dangerous for your pet, as it could get caught on something. You should be able to get at least 2-3 fingers under the amber collar comfortably. It helps if you have a string of beads to place on your pets neck, this way you can get an idea of how the amber collar will lay, drape them around your pet on the same area as a regular collar would go, pinch it off where it is comfortable and still able to get 2 fingers underneath, this measurement is what you use to place your order. The total measurement does include the clasp.

Can the amber collar get wet?

Yes, it does not hurt the collar to get wet. It is made of nylon coated stainless steel wire, amber and acrylic beads. 

Does the total measurement I order include the clasp?

Yes, you give me the total measurement and that includes any clasp.

How long does my pet need to wear the amber collar before it becomes most effective?

The pet should wear the collar for a minimum of 2 weeks for full effectiveness.

Can my dog just wear this when he is out for a walk?

The collar should be worn at least 75% of the time, best if worn all the time during pest season. It can be taken off for rough play and bathing.

Where should I store the collar during off season?

The collar should be put in a zip lock bag preferably in a drawer out of direct sunlight.

Can I wash the collar?

Yes, you can use a mild soap and soft brush to remove coated on oils and dirt from the collar.

My collar broke, can you repair it?

I will repair collars for a small fee if under a year old. Older than a year it should be replaced. Email me with the specifics to send.

How long does the collar last?

Most of my long term customers tell me they like to replace the collar at a minimum of every 1 to 2 years.

Can my pet wear the amber collar with his other collar or harness?

Yes, the amber necklace can be worn along with any collar or harness.

Can I still use my organic spray on my dog? 

Yes, you can still use your natural or organic pest spray on your dog. I also have the lava rocks which can be added to the collars which act as a diffuser bead, which you can drop the diluted essential oil spray on.
